The first major collection on transnational evangelical history and politics. I was fortunate to have two marvelous co-editors, Axel Schäfer of the Obama Institute for Transnational Studies at the Gutenberg University in Mainz, Germany, and John Corrigan, long-time editor of Church History and Professor of Religion at Florida State. The contributors are fabulous, if I say so myself: they include people working on evangelicalism in Latin America, the Caribbean, Africa, Asia, and the Middle East, always looking at the ties with US evangelicals. The diversity we trace among evangelicals — of race, place, theology, and political viewpoint is broad and deep. But the through-line is always an examination of power and politics.
